…what do they have in common?
THEY MADE ME COME BACK TO MY BLOG!! LOL !!
Hello everyone,
there is time like now that carries the deeper meaning of words: how are you? Hope all is well? Or at least as good as it can be… right?
I hope from the bottom of my heart that you and yours are healthy and safe in this extraordinary time of global pandemic. I will purposely skip the talk and discussion about it all, (I know you have plenty of that! ), except to say – STAY WELL AND STAY SAFE!
Here is what gives me calm and peace and hope – NATURE!
These are some charming Snowdrops that grow in my front yard – always first to show up, even under the snow sometimes…such a brave and happy little flower!! They truly make me smile, even when nothing else does. These days – so much more!!
Now lets talk Lanterns…
what in a world would that be about and why? Well my friends, even in these hard times, quilting keeps bringing joy and smiles, right? For me, besides actual sewing and all that, I have some happy news to share:
Lanterns is my newest pattern published in May/June issue of Quiltmaker!! I am so so happy to share it finally with all of you!!
I have a lot to say and share with you about this pattern, but I will reserve a whole separate post for that – maybe even tomorrow! You know, now that I “broke the ice” and actually came back to my poor, neglected blog… LOL!
I just have to say – this was my first quilt made fully with only solids and I used lovely and luscious Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Solids for that! I fully admit that quilting on solids did make me nervous…you can see every stitch!! EEEK!! But it was really fun and I promise a full story about it!
For now, here are just few more photos that I took of Lanterns:
Tesla kitty approves, it seems? 🙂
I am very, very curious to hear what do you think about Lanterns? Let me know please! 🙂
I will say goodbye for now my friends, talk to you all very soon!
Please stay safe and well!!, Love, Marija
I really like this quilt. The solid fabric with the pattern are beautifully contemporary.
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations Marija
Nice to see in solids.
Stay Safe
Thank you Barbara!
I love your new Lanterns Quilt and can’t wait to hear more about it. Congratulations.
Pat McDonald
Thank you so much Pat!!
The lanterns quilt is lovely — the solids give it a very modern vibrant look.
Thanks Dorothy! It was exciting to work with solids!
