Hi again everyone,
I am writing this to join a very nice party with other bloggers – Best of 2018 Linky Party hosted by Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs
Now, lets just say it right from the start – 2018 was NOT a very good year for my blog. Not at all.
So – why in a world would I want to do this?? That’s just it friends – I want to change that. I want to get better and learn how to share what I have to give in this quilty, sewing, design world we all love.
I want it and I am not giving up.
There, I said it.
So I decided to join as much as I can this blogging community, try to learn from others and improve. As I found Cheryl’s invitation in a Facebook group we both belong to, I jumped in – I will list FIVE blog posts of this year that I see as good and then – let’s see what you think? Here we go:
- Fun with Sew-a-Long – post from March 2018
In this post I wrote about joining a really fun and educational sew-a-long hosted by Sharon Holland and Maureen Cracknell, designers for Art Gallery Fabrics. I also shared short tutorials in this post on strip-pieced 4-patch blocks and properly squaring Tri-triangle units. That is one reason I love this post – I love to share tutorials.
2. Sewing and Gardening – is second post I loved this year, since those are really two things I really love to do and enjoy so much!
This one was about a very special dress I made for our older granddaughter, Juliana – it was her birthday Unicorn dress – definitely on of my favorite makes, for so many reasons!
3. My Quilt Patterns – was another post in June. Started one late night, from the fact that I wasn’t feeling so good about myself and what I accomplished so far in my quilting…but at the end made me feel good! Who knew? 🙂
4. Hello autumn!! – (back to blog and sewing) – is a post from September, sort of a “catch-up” one, but it has a lot of what I DID do this past year – make a lot of little girl dresses! There is no bigger joy than a smile on their faces when they twirl and twirl in new dress….
5. Christmas quilts – is a recent post of few days ago, with a dear to me story about my two oldest quilts – take a look!
So these are MY favorite 5 posts, of very few I did this year. Very curious to hear what YOU think about them? Let me know! (please and thank you! 🙂 )
This is a really fun party of bloggers – don’t forget to visit the home page and all other bloggers sharing their top 5 posts HERE
I am off to gram another coffee and do the same,
wishing you happy, happy New Year,
love,
Marija
