Good morning friends!
Yeah, I was hoping it won’t happen but it was more likely it will – me not being able to do the blog post EVERY day.
This was a busy, busy weekend, starting Friday, so every night before I knew it, it was past midnight already and I missed my daily post.
Also, let’s be honest here – I do struggle with, not so much posting per se (I do like to talk and share) but with the always-present doubt “who wants to read this?” . But that’s just it – that’s why I took this challenge!! I AM going to do it! I am.
What I hope to achieve through it is not to have 31 posts of just anything, but to learn how to have both – short and sometimes silly everyday life posts AND great content of quilting and making, valuable to many.
What do you think – can I do it? Have any tips and advice?? Please and thank you!!
This busy weekend did have some sewing involved though! Remember those piles from the last post? – three dresses are done!!
The Simple Life Patterns’ Aria dress is quickly becoming my favorite quick make. It has beautiful details, full circle skirt (oh the twirl!!) and it is made for knit/stretchy fabrics – Juliana’s favorite!! ❤️
I finished two red velvet ones for my cuties this weekend:
(sorry, I had no time for detailed photos as they wanted them for Sunday morning and there was some Saturday late night sewing involved there… 😬😂)
But here is another one just finished last night
I just love the back detail of incorporated bows!
If you are looking for some great patterns for babies and girls, with really, really good and detailed instructions, so far my favorites are The Simple Life Pattern Co. and Violette Fields Thread . Even thought I have been sewing garments since I was little girl, I learned many new and useful little techniques from their detailed instructions. Not to mention that both companies have wonderful Facebook groups that are full of support, advice and endless inspiration too!
The dress above is not for my cuties this time, it is for a special little girl… that story in my next post, tonight.
Determined to catch-up and continue with this 31 Day Blog Writing Challenge! (if you just joined me, it is hosted by Cheryl Sleboda of Muppin.com and you can find all the information HERE (today is the last day you can join in too!!)
See you all tonight,
Love,
Marija
